DJ's Top 6 Favorite TV Shows Part 1

Throughout the course of being a teenager, i've been watching more mature shows. Some include; Wednesday, Teen Wolf, Riverdale, etc. So, i thought, 'why not make a Top 6 blog about my favorite TV Shows?'.

Number 6: Riverdale.

Riverdale is a teen horror/drama show released in January 2017 to July 2022. It's about a group of high school students solving either terrifying or interesting (sometimes both) mysteries. Over the course of 6 seasons, the horror and the romance have been getting stronger and stronger. The reason I placed Riverdale at 6 is because, I wan't fully interested some of the time, since in some of the episodes, they don't even talk about the mystery of that season, which, to me, is very upsetting. I love shows that continue to mention the mystery or the suspense in every episode. Although it is a good show, it would still rate it at the bottom of my list.

Number 5: Teen Wolf

Teen Wolf is a horror show which was first released in June 2011 with its first season and ended in September 2017. Althought Paramount+ is releasing a movie that takes place about 15 years after the series finale. Teen Wolf is about a boy named, Scott McCall, who gets bitten by a werewolf and goes through the stages of lycanthropy and follows through his journey to save his town called, Beacon Hills with the help of his friends he makes along the way and his best friend, Stiles. I personally love this show and its characters and the supernatural creatures such as, werewolves, banshees, chimeras, kanimas, werecoyotes, werejaguars and so on. Although, I decided to place this show at number 5. Reason being; since Teen Wolf is a horror show, I felt like I need to be more scared. However, I was not scared at all. Which was a little disappointing. So for that reason, I placed Teen Wolf at number 5.

Number 4: Heartstopper

Heartstopper is a Teen Heartthrob/Romance show released in April 2022 with an expected season arriving Mid 2023. Hearstopper follows the journey of a 15-year-old boy named Charlie who is going through issues with bulying because of his sexuality. Very early on, Charlie falls in love with a boy who is a year older than him, named Nick. In the end, Nick comes out as bisexual and begins dating Charlie. Who doesn't love a happy ending? In my opinion, as much as i adored this show and its message, i have to say that Heartstopper was going a little too overboard with the amount of homophobia it was displaying. I personally came out over a year ago and had overheard people talking about me negatively so, when I heard of this show, i was hoping that there wasn't going to be as much homophobia. But, i was wrong. So, for of the large amount of homophobia the show displayed, i had to place it at 4.

This post was specifically meant to be for my favorite TV Shows placed at numbers 6, 5 and 4. My next post will contain my top 3 shows.

Stay tuned...

  1. I love this so far, these shows are amazing already! Did you know that Riverdale has a musical episode? They had to put in so much effort and time into the episode, all of the actors singing voices are actually in the show, though some of them were carefully edited to make it sound better, and if you have the time maybe you could listen to KJ Apa's music.
